The Process: Working With Better Together Paper Co.
1. Get Inspired
Collecting inspiration from Pinterest, Instagram, blogs and magazines is a great way to start working out the style and feel that you would like to convey in your wedding stationery. Just remember - I won’t copy another designers work, so please don’t ask!
2. Let's Meet Up!
My home studio is located in Narara on the Central Coast, NSW and I’d love to invite you over for a cup of tea (or glass of wine) and chat your Wedding Stationery wants and needs. A consultation is also a great way for you to see and feel the paper and all the stationery choices I have on offer! However, my clients are located all across the world, so if you’re not local, don’t worry, I’ll invite you to a consultation via phone or email instead and you can order a Wedding Sample Pack and Paper Swatch Book below. Either way, a consult is a great way to discuss your vision, likes and dislikes, inspiration and any other details for me to understand you and big day.
3. Quotation and Timeline
Your invitation suite can be comprised of many pieces. The statement piece is (of course) the Invitation card, but depending on the information you want to convey to your guests, you can add other pieces such as Save the Dates, RSVPs, Details and Thank You cards. On the following pages, I have put together a package price guide that includes our most popular combinations. If you’re not quite sure what you need or our packages do not suit your needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom quote. We like to provide you with an approximate timeline for each step of your stationery process. This is so we can work together with you to produce your stationery without our standard timeframe of approximately six weeks.
4. Give The Go-Ahead
When you’re happy with you quote, I will send you through the following:
1. An invoice for the non-refundable $300 design fee.
2. The terms and conditions which are to be read, signed and returned.
3. A form for you to fill out with you invitation wording
This all must be completed prior to the commencement of any design work.
5. Finally, Design Time!
I will spend time lettering, drawing and typesetting to bring you 3-4 invitation concepts. We’ll then work together to finalise one invitation design by changing and mixing elements from the initial concepts. Once the invitation is perfect, I will lay out the rest of your stationery pieces to match, and again we’ll spend time making sure the final product is nothing short of amazing.
6. Send to Print
When you’re happy (or rather, over the moon) with your stationery design, you’ll confirm your quantities, upgrades and your postage address. Once I’ve received your final payment, your artwork will be sent off to production! The typical turn-around times are: 10-15 working days for Letterpress/Hot Foil and 5-10 working days for Digital Printing.
7. Send Out!
When your stationery has been printed, I check each print by hand and carefully package your stationery for you. All stationery being posted is delivered via trackable Australia Post or private courier. Once they arrive at your doorstep, you’ll just need to put the invitations in the their envelopes, stamp them, seal them and pop them in the post. It’s at this point it all becomes real!
