My husband and I got married in September, 2014, and of course it was the best day of my life! Our Wedding Invitations featured gorgeous copper foiling on Colorplan Imperial Blue, inspired by the rustic, yet modern, interior of our venue. The design also ties in the surrounding native Australia flora, with a border of subtle, blind flowers.
The reply card compliments our invitation, with navy blue text, impressed into a bed of blind florals. The trouble was the guest didn't want to have to write on them and send them back!
We wanted our guests to be excited for our big day, just as much as we were, and that was the purpose of the tri-fold Wedding Day Guide. We wanted to give our guests all the information they would need, without spoiling any surprises, so they would know what they could expect, and to get excited for all the fun we had planned. My favourite part though is my illustration of our venue, which fades from afternoon to night.
All the pieces were tied with string, and a token was added with our laser cut initial. This was also used to tied around our napkins on the night. Then, to bring together the entire suite, copper ink was used to calligraph our guest names to the front of each envelope.
Our day of stationery included copper ink calligraphy escort cards, letterpressed ceremony programs and menus, and hand-painted signage.
